The Digital People's Book Club was one devoted to exploring literature which highlights the lifestyles and culture of digital folk. Its purpose was tied to some aspects of Extropia's founding politics and respect for digital people in their own regard. The club was later re-moulded into the much more general Extropia Book Club before its first meeting, however, to distance from the nature of some salon events.
